Year 5/6 enjoy trip to Bolesworth International Show

 

Year 5/6 today enjoyed a trip to the Bolesworth International Show at Bolesworth Castle for their Schools Day.

As part of the day, children enjoyed having opportunity to learn forest skills, watched a parrot show, met birds of prey, enjoyed viewing world class equestrian competition and even caught site of some national lamb racing!

The highlight of the day was being able to take part in the Opening Ceremony in the main arena, which was streamed live on the internet worldwide. Children carried the flags of several of the competing nations in the colourful performance.

Commemorative magazines can be obtained from Utkinton Village Hall or St Helen's Church in Tarporley.


Utkinton and Cotebrook Parish Council have the original photographs which have been displayed over the final half term until they can be transferred to the records office or back to school.
