Would You Like to Visit Manaus? Year 5/6 Persuasive Writing

Through our topic this term, rainforests, Year 5/6 have been reading the excellent book Journey to the River Sea. In the early part of the book, one of the main characters, Maia, emigrates to Manaus, Brazil. She is very nervous about this move due to hearing stories about all the horrible things that might happen there. As a class, we decided it was our job to create persuasive leaflets about the destination to encourage her she would be okay.
