Huxinton are Chester & District Champions

Our joint Utkinton and Huxley football team (Huxinton) were crowned as Chester & District Small Schools Champions after a dramatic 2-2 draw at Dodleston this evening. A last-minute equaliser saw them claim the points required to win the league, after a six month campaign. This game followed victories away at Tushingham (4-0) and at home to St Clare’s (2-1) in the last week. The children have now qualified for the ‘Champion’s Trophy’ tournament at Manchester City on May 4^th.

Commemorative magazines can be obtained from Utkinton Village Hall or St Helen's Church in Tarporley.

Utkinton and Cotebrook Parish Council have the original photographs which have been displayed over the final half term until they can be transferred to the records office or back to school.
